I've been using Mendeley on my iPad mini (7.1.2) for months, and the tagging function has always worked smoothly (although like many others, I always needed to log out and re-open the app to force tags I change on the iPad to sync to the desktop). However, yesterday I uninstalled and reinstalled the app to fix a minor bug with capitalization of tags. Since the reinstall, the add/edit tag function on the iPad is broken. In the edit or add tag menu, I can see my full list of tags, and I can either check or uncheck each tag once, but then that tag can't be changed again: if it was checked, it can't be unchecked, and vice versa...nothing happens when I press it. Furthermore, if I scroll down the list of tags, then come back up, any tags I've checked or unchecked flip back to the way they were before, as if I hadn't made any changes. When I save the new tag list, firstly it no longer plays the smooth animation where all the checked tags rise to the top of the list; instead, it just freezes for a milisecond then flips back to the article view. The real problem, though, is that it saves an unpredictable new mix of tags, because in the edit menu, I can't actually see which ones in the list were 'really' checked or unchecked when I saved. I need the tagging function to work smoothly, like it did before; it's the main reason I use Mendeley. How can I fix this issue?
Another, possibly related issue: the iPad list of tags is not synced with the desktop, because it is showing tags that haven't existed in my library for months, that don't show up on the desktop tag list, and that don't even have any documents associated with them. I don't know where the iPad is getting these empty tags from, because they're not associated with any documents in the cloud, and I've reinstalled the app multiple times. Is there a better way to wipe all Mendeley data from the iPad than just reinstalling the app, so that it's forced to use my real, current tag list?
