I have installed the new Mendeley App on my iPad (full sized iPad, not the mini, and not the new high def one) and having a few issues:
- The text is blurry. This is particularly a problem on the navigation buttons at the top, but annoyingly on about every other PDF file title in the left hand navigation bar.
- It crashed last night when i opened the app and it did it's sync. It froze on the checking for changes screen. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app, and lost the changes i had made to the location of a few PDF files.
- Sometimes when i choose to add a reference to another folder using the 'Add to...' button, i don't see the choose button at the top of the navigation bar. This is only intermittent.
- Most importantly of all, the sync doesn't work. When i add Tags to a reference on my iPad, or move references from one folder to another, they do not appear on my desktop Mendeley app, despite having clicked on the sync options on both multiple times. The same applies to my highlights in a PDF. I have added a highlight through the Mendeley iPad editor and when i sync the highlight won't appear on my mendeley version after repeatedly having pressed sync.
I'm a big fan of the software, and pleased to see the new release of the ios software. Can't wait to get stuck in to using my iPad with Mendeley too, however i think it will have to be after the first bug fix release. Do you know when this will be?
