Mendeley Desktop lets me import MS Word and PowerPoint documents. I can then open those documents in their native apps by double-tapping them in Mendeley Desktop. That is fantastic, as I can now keep all of the various files for my classes organized and accessible in Mendeley.
Alas, those non-pdf files are not accessible in Mendeley for the iPad. They are listed, but tapping the "Open in…" option never brings up the share pane that, theoretically, would allow me to open the file in MS Word or PowerPoint for the iPad, or in any other compatible app. Is there a trick to getting the "Open in…" option to work?
And now that we're on this subject, assuming that I was able to open an MS Word file in another app and made changes to it, how would I get it back into Mendeley?
