Notes not showing in notes pane on iPad

Although notes/highlights made on desktop and mobile versions are syncing fine, the notes don't show up in the notes pane on the iPad (they are showing in the notes pane on the desktop version). This seems to apply both to notes made on the iPad itself and to notes synced from the desktop version. Also, it would be great if highlights could show up as well as notes (in the way they do on Papers, your rival!). At the moment my workaround is the highlight and then copy the text into a note, whilst this work it obviously adds a couple of steps every time I do it. Thanks, Ian
